Welcome to the Welsh Government Blog!

We wanted to create a place where we can let you know in more detail about all we’re doing to make Wales a more prosperous, equal, greener and healthier nation and how it affects you. And we wanted to talk to you in a more modern and chatty way – away from the headlines, social media and press conferences. We are very excited about the blog and talking to you in a way we’ve never done before.

These are the kinds of things you’ll find us talking about on the blog:

  • How we create a more equal Wales, where everyone is accepted for who they are.
  • Why we need better public services, which help everyone who needs them, when they need them, where they need them.
  • Our journey to becoming a truly sustainable nation, managing our resources for the common good and protecting them for the future. This means taking action against plastic pollution, harnessing the power of Wales’ natural environment and exploiting the potential of new technologies.
  • How we plan to get everyone out into the fresh air and moving, without forgetting our mental health is just as important as our physical health. This means tackling obesity across the country, whilst striving for a healthier, greener environment for us all to live in.

We’ll be posting about a range of subjects and the blog is broken down by themes to allow you to find whatever it is you’re interested in.

As the blog grows, we’ll be featuring posts from “guest bloggers” in addition to people across Wales impacted by our policies.

If you subscribe to the blog, you’ll be notified every time something new is posted.

Before you leave a comment, all we ask is that you follow our house rules.
